Earlier this year I reviewed the XX2i Bermuda1 sunglasses and loved them! I wear them all the time and they are my go-to pair of sunglasses for everything … running, driving, going to the beach. Naturally I jumped at the chance to review another pair from their lifestyle line, the XX2i Brazil1.

The Brazil1 features the same large lenses as the Bermuda1 but with a slightly more squarish look. The pair I tested have matte black frames and reflective, blue polarized lenses. They are also offered in a few other colour options: crystal/black, matte tortoiseshell, and matte white/black frames. The sunglasses came in a large, super-padded case, which also included a thin bag and even a strap to keep the shades secured to your face during activities.

As someone who looks terrible in the sleek, sporty sunglasses, I really appreciate that XX2i makes quality sunglasses in a trendy style. They are still light and fit well for running – no bouncing, no fogging.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that they are very durable. I guess that’s why they offer a lifetime warranty: “No questions asked, you break or scratch them, send them back to be replaced for a nominal shipping and handling fee!”

Confession: I almost never put my sunglasses back in the case. I throw both pairs of my XX2i sunglasses in and out of various purses, backpacks or pockets and so far they have survived without even a scratch.

The XX2i website description and packaging boasts “8K optical technology.” I don’t know what that means but it sounds fancy. Maybe a sunglasses enthusiast can fill me in? All I know is that has something to do with durability and lens clarity.

Last but not least, XX2i offers a 365-day return policy. You can try them out for up to 365 days and return them for a full refund minus a shipping/handling fee. So what have you got to lose?

I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I'm not sure what changed but i'm glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys. Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!
