VanRace 15k & 30k Giveaway!

Disclosure: I received a free entry to VanRace to giveaway as part of being on the West Van Run team.

The WestVanRun Team will be participating in the VanRace 15k & 30k on Septemeber 6, 2015. Wait, that day looks familiar … Oh ya I’m getting married! After briefly considering whether I could squeeze a race in before I get hitched, I decided it would be a much better idea to give my entry away to one lucky winner!

The VanRace starts and ends at Charleson Park in False Creek. Both routes follow the seawall, however only the 30k does a full loop of Stanley Park. The race is chip timed and all finishers receive an awesome medal! For more info, visit VanRace website.

Need a little training? You should check out the WestVanRun on March 5 & 6 and group runs every Saturday morning at 9:30am! The group runs start at Cafe Crema (Bellevue Ave & 15th Street) and are about 7 to 10 km.

I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I'm not sure what changed but i'm glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys. Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!

Is that the ECS Utah? It sounds awesome! I’m sure you would rock the 30k! But if not, it just means I’ll have to bring you out on some long runs with me! 😀

  3. Thanks so much for this, Brie!! And congrats on your upcoming wedding! Haha I would be the same and wonder… Can I squeeze a race in before? Love your blog! Thanks!

  4. Congratulations! Lol, sometimes runners get excited about the next race right? …Other things sometimes come up too like you know weddings! Hope the wedding planning is mostly wrapped up maybe take photos by the route so random runners can be in the background? 🙂

  5. Hmm, I like the idea of a nice race to start a wedding day, but maybe 30k is a bit long for that. Hope wedding prep is going smoothly!
